My purse: The Inden est. 1582 small Cross-Body Bag.

There’s nothing like a cocktail reception at an elegant venue to really get your style senses engaged. At least that’s true for me.

What am I going to wear? Well, when I’m aiming for elegance, my primary instinct is to keep it simple. And what could be more simple than red and black?

So what do I reach for? This time I went with my trusty Inden est. 1582 small Cross-Body Bag, which looks stunning paired with a whole range of elegant evening looks.

Isn’t this an absolutely beautiful piece? This Inden est. 1582 purse is made from deerskin and carefully worked by hand to incorporate an intricate pattern developed on washi paper and executed in a lacquer finish that protects the bag and keeps it looking great. This purse is the perfect size for holding your key night-out essentials. And notice how the chain-link shoulder strap completely tucks into the bag for an elegant, clean look.

My dress? It’s a Cap Sleeve Dupioni Full Length Dress in black, by Alfred Sung. I love its simple lines and the luxurious texture of its fantastic silk fabric. Really makes the purse pop, no?

Following up on the simplicity theme, I’ve chosen an Hermès bracelet and my favorite Chanel earrings. You can’t go wrong with the classics.

Although they’re hard to see (try squinting), I’m also wearing my Manolo Blahnik Black Satin Hangisi Buckle 105 Pumps. It’s easy to feel confident when you have Manolos on your feet!

My hair? Again, I kept it simple. Why would I want to draw attention away from my adorable purse?

Wherever you go on an elegant evening, I hope you feel like a million bucks!
